ABEnextsteps.org was developed in 2011 as part of a capacity building project supporting staff of 21 GED and ESOL programs in Boston. The project is administered by the Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF),  which received a federal Strengthening Communities Fund grant in 2010 to work with the 21 programs. BCYF hired Navin Associates, a Boston area consulting firm, to provide (a) training to build staff skills and (b) technical assistance to increase program impact. The project came to an end on October 31, 2011. Navin Associates recently released a final report on the capacity building project, which can be viewed here.

ABEnextsteps.org provides resources to support GED and ESOL program staff to deliver increasingly effective services to their students – particularly in the areas of outcomes and next steps (higher education, employment, and skill training).
